4th Of July Entertainment Ideas In The Houston Area

What goes better with the 4th of July than music, good food and FIREWORKS?  Here are a few ideas around town to enjoy Independence Day.


Near Downtown: CITGO Freedom Over Texas live music  and fireworks over Buffalo Bayou. This year there is four main stages at Eleanor Tinsley and Sam Houston Parks July 4th from 4-10 pm. Tickets are $8 online.  


Children’s Museum of Houston: Celebrate Kidependence Day with Founding Fathers and Captain America. Crafts and events throughout the day for Superhero trainees to celebrate the Superheros who helped to make America the land of the free and home of the brave. 


Memorial City: Snow and Ice in July? Escape the heat with 30,000lbs of snow, music and treats at the Square of Memorial City 1-4pm.

Cypress:  Enjoy free live music and fireworks at The Boardwalk at Town Lake. Music begins at 7pm and fireworks show at 9pm.

Tomball: 4th of July Celebration & Street Festival will include live music, food, hayride, a kid zone and more from 5-11pm. Fireworks will start at 9:30pm. Both the festival and fireworks are free.

Waller: Two days of festivities are planned at the Waller Freedom Fest. Enjoy activities like rock climbing, water slides, bumper boats, food and more. Fireworks will end the evening each night at dusk. Tues, July 3rd 6pm – Dusk Wed, July 4th 3pm – Dusk


The Woodlands: There will be three separate events in the Woodlands. A free concert by the Houston Symphony at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on July 3rd.  On July 4th there will be a parade. Then from 6-10pm listen to live music and enjoy food and entertainment before the fireworks at 9:30pm.
